bytNEWS operates under strict principles of accuracy, independence, and fairness. Every story we publish originates with an established news organisation, and carries that organisation’s name and a link to its original report.
2. How Our Verification Tool Works
Our public verification tool weighs whether a story’s claims match current reporting from established outlets, how reputable the outlet behind it is, and whether its language is measured or sensational. Where we cannot confirm who published a story, or find no independent coverage of it, we say so rather than issuing a rating we cannot stand behind.
3. Correction & Fact-Check Appeal Policy
If a published story contains a factual error, or you believe our verification tool has rated a story wrongly, tell us and we will review it. Corrections are noted on the story itself rather than made silently.
